Two confirmed dead by police in a Friday 1-91 crash

A collision takes two lives on Friday night at Rocky Hill.

Rocky Hill, Connecticut (May 27, 2017) It was a sad Friday night when two Middletown residents were confirmed dead after a crash. According to the officials, the accident was a result of a collision. The car that the deceased were riding in collided with a trailer that was headed south towards I-91 in Rocky Hill. The accident occurred around 10:30 p.m.

The two men, Mark Nunez, 21 and Jose Diana 25, died at the scene of the accident. Further investigation revealed that Diana was driving at high speed, when the Volkswagen gold crashed into the trailer. The trailer had stopped at the traffic lights near Exit 24.

Witnesses at the scene of the accident told the police that the Volkswagen lost control after crashing into the tractor-trailer, eventually, it rested along the edge of the road. The tractor had stopped due to a traffic snarl-up caused by a faulty vehicle.

The police reported that the tractor trailer passenger suffered minor injuries and was rushed to Hartford Hospital. The driver of the tractor was lucky as he incurred no injuries.

The accident caused a heavy jam at Rocky Hill. According to the police, the area was cordoned off and remained close for about four hours. This was to keep out the curious onlookers and also to allow for investigations.

The investigation into the accident is still ongoing. The investigations are headed by the Hartford Barracks state troopers.

The accident took two young lives, and the police are carrying out extensive investigations without overlooking any details. In light of this, members of the public are urged to come forward with any information they may have about the accident.
