A Hamden motor scooter driver dies in a collision

A rear-end collision car accident.

A collision between a scooter and pickup leads to a fatality.

Hamden, Connecticut (June 12, 2017) Hamden police issued a statement on Monday confirming the death of a Hamden motor scooter driver. The grisly accident occurred on Saturday.

The incident transpired in the late afternoon at about 3:45 pm. The scene of the accident was at the intersection of Hartford Turnpike and Davis Street. The scooter is said to have collided with a pickup truck.

Further investigations by the police revealed that the scooter was traveling east onto Davis Street while the truck was heading North on Hartford Turnpike.

According to the report by the police, the scooter driver and passenger were both thrown out of the scooter. The driver was declared dead after his arrival at the Yale-New Haven Hospital.

His passenger, escaped with non life threatening injuries. The truck driver was not injured.
